Who leaked the private photos of Akshara, the daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan? This continues to be a mystery even days after her leaked photos surfaced on social media platforms. Taking to social media, Akshara had confirmed that the leaked photos were hers adding that she had approached the Mumbai Police for action against the ‘perverse’ act.
She had written, “It’s particularly disturbing and deeply upsetting to see that at a time when the nation has woken up to the #metoo movement, there are still people out there who would harass and attempt to share private pictures of a young girl in the public eye only to derive some perverse pleasure that appeals only to them.”
Meanwhile, actor Tanuj Virwani has denied his involvement saying that he was more than happy to cooperate with the police in any investigation. A spokesperson for Tanuj, Akshari’s ex-boyfriend, told Indian Express, “Tanuj is absolutely aware of what Akshara must be going through. We are more than happy to cooperate with the police or with any kind of investigation, so as the culprit gets punished and gets caught. Tanuj is going to give it his all and whatever is needed of him.”
This was after a report by Mumbai Mirror said that Akshara had shared some of her private photos with Tanuj in the past. “Akshara was using an iphone 6 till 2013, which had the photos. Prima facie investigation has revealed the photos were shared with Tanuj in 2013. He may be summoned for questioning,” a senior police officer from Mumbai’s Versova Police Station was quoted as saying.
The private photos leaked showed Akshara changing her clothes and taking selfies in undergarments.
Tanuj’s mother Rati Agnihotri and Kamal Haasan had made their Bollywood debut in 1981 with Ek Duje Keliye, which went on to become a blockbuster.
Akshra had made her Bollywood debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh. The private photos leaked showed Akshara changing her clothes and taking selfies in undergarments. As for Tanuj, his debut film was Love You Soniyo, released in 2013.
