A video of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone being asked by a member of the airport security team to produce the identity proof has gone viral. With that, the Padmaavat star has also earned plenty of plaudits from her fans for the way she handled the situation.
Dress in all black, Deepika was spotted with her father, a badminton legend, at the Mumbai airport. As expected, also waiting to catch a glimpse of her were a group of Mumbai’s paparazzi.
No sooner did Deepika walk inside the airport, a CISF personnel shouted, “ID, ID?” By then Deepika had entered the airport with her father, who was about the get inside the airport buggy to go towards the security check-in. But Deepika turned and asked, “chahiye kya? (You want it?).” She then pulled her identity document out of her bag. Deepika returned to join her father only after the security staff was satisfied with the document.
The video was shared by photographer Viral Bhayani. The video has evoked an overwhelmingly positive reaction from internet users, who are applauding her for her gesture. One fan wrote, “She is really down to earth….tht’y people love her….she is amazing…love ya.” Another user commented, “How can some1 be so humble?” “Well done to both the security personnel and Ms Padukone,” commented another user.
Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh was in the news recently after a video of Simmba actor consoling a distraught Pakistani fan immediately after India-Pakistan clash went viral. India had won the match by 89 runs leaving Pakistani supporters dejected.
Deepika’s last big release was Padmaavat, also starring Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Her next projects include Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak opposite Vikrant Massey. She will also be seen in the biopic of former India captain Kapil Dev called 83. She will be playing the character of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi in the film. Her husband Ranveer will be playing the role of Kapil Dev.
