Actor Ranveer Singh on Tuesday told his said waiting audience that they may be waiting for them since 9 am, but he can wait for Deepika for a lifetime.
The Bajirao Mastani actors were supposed to reach early morning on Tuesday for the launch of their movie’s first song, Gajanana, but the actors got delayed in reaching the venue.
While apologising to the audience, the actor said, “I was told that people have been waiting since 9 am for us. But Deepika is so beautiful I would wait a lifetime for her.”
Deepika and Ranveer released their song, Gajanana in a unique way, that is, by doing a ‘maha-aarti’ at its launch.
Speaking about this, Ranveer said, “During Ganapati Visarjan, I always take part in the Ganapati song and dance. I have got into random processions even after becoming an actor. Vaibhavi calls me visarjan specialist.”
The song is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and has been sung by Sukhvinder Singh and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
Bajirao Mastani is releasing with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale, but still Deepika is not much worried about the clash. She says, “I don’t understand the business perspective. I think there is a place for both films. Our job is to work just as an actor not to get into all this.”
Ranveer added to Deppika’s comment in a short and crisp way saying, “I am an actor and can understand only acting. Can’t say anything on clash.”
Meanwhile, Ranveer and Deepika have shared the screen together earlier also in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Galiyon ki Raasleela-Ramleela (2013).
The film, which is releasing on 18 December, narrates the story of Maratha general Peshwa Bajirao I, and his second wife Mastani, played by Ranveer and Deepika respectively. It also stars Priyanka Chopra as Bajirao I’s first wife, Kashi Bai.
