Comedian posts her topless photo in response to threats of blackmail

American comedian Whitney Cummings has earned plaudits globally after she decided to share her topless photo in response to threats of blackmailing by some social media users. Taking to Twitter, Cummings wrote that she was not going to be intimidated by her blackmailers.

She wrote, ” In April I accidentally posted an insta story that showed nipple. Once I realized, I deleted. The people who took screen grabs are trying to get money from me, some said they have offers to sell them, some are asking for money to not post the photo.”

The screengrab shared by Cummings showed an unknown user demand money from her in exchange of not making her photos public. But instead of giving in to her blackmailer’s demands, she decided to share those photos public.

Cummings wrote, “They all must think I’m way more famous than I am, but they also must think I’m way more easily intimidated than I am. If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me. So here it all is, you foolish dorks.”

Soon her tweets went viral with Twitterati from around the globe applauding her for her courage and refusal to succumb to the threats of blackmail. Cummings later wrote, “I woke up to so much support around the nipple photo incident. It means the world to me and I’m sorry that the pic I had to release looks like I’m having a home birth.”

36-year-old Cummings later said that she will not reveal the identity of her blackmailers since some of them may be ‘dumb kids’ who are unaware of the consequences of their acts.
