Sony Entertainment Television’s longest running and the most loved show is shooting in North India for their next series, ‘CID Mar Miteynge’.
The CID team shared their experience in a press meet held in Delhi.
Shivaji Satham, commonly known as ‘ACP Pradyuman’ said, “Shooting in North India for the team came as a mixed feeling as different crowd acts differently.”
Though they did not get a permission to shoot at Jama Masjid due to Ramadan, they enjoyed shooting in Sangam Vihar without any public disturbances. The team shot murder mystery scenes at different locations of the Capital including Dilli Haat, Lajpat Nagar, Sadar Bazar and on Delhi-Gurgaon Metro route. After completing their shooting in Delhi, the team will head towards Agra and Mathura.
Speaking about the show, Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Sony Entertainment Television said, “CID was one of the first series in this genre that Indian viewers experienced on the television. We have successfully built CID over last 18 years in association with B P Singh. It is because of the powerhouse performances of these actors that CID has succeeded in creating waves off screen too.”
Adding to this, the producer, B P Singh said, “I am extremely proud and honored to be able to deliver a crime and thriller based fiction show to the viewers which has become every family’s weekend affair. The CID team will be seen on the streets of Delhi some of which have never been explored before.”
Recently, CID was in news for its amusing contest of engaging audience in the making of their show by completing the scripting of incomplete episodes known as the ‘Shhatir Lekhak Contest’. The contest which has been running since July requires people to go to the official website of SET India and conclude three incomplete stories. The winning story will be featured as a ‘CID’ episode.
