IAS topper Tina Dabi Khan has been giving her fans a sneak peek into her Diwali celebrations with her husband Athar Aamir Khan and friends. The dominating theme of her Diwali celebrations, at least going by her social media posts, appeared to have been the high standard of creativity and Bollywood romance with even Emraan Hashmi and his film Azhar featuring prominently.

Tina, who started preparing for this year’s Diwali celebrations days ago, had first posted a short video of the festive shopping. In one video, the affable civil servant from Delhi was seen dressed in a leaf green kurta while taking the help of some locals in Rajasthan in deciding what exactly to go for as far as Diwali decorations go.

Days later, Tina informed her 4,00,000 plus fans on Instagram with a photo of a candle in a candle holder with several lit diyas (lamps) below. It was clear that the IAS topper had put in plenty of hard work in making what appeared to be a unique and exquisite piece of Diwali diya.

She didn’t stop here. Tina also posted a photo of another fabulous piece of creative work when she shared a lampshade decorated with marigold in a toran like shape.

Tina’s Diwali celebrations reached its culmination with the designing of the much-needed Rangoli, which is an integral part of the festival. In one video, Tina could be seen extending a helping hand to her IAS topper husband Aamir in preparation of Rangoli. But what made the design even more special was the music attached with the video. Tina chose the soulful rendition of Bol Do Na Zara by Armaan Malik and Amaal Mallik from the 2016 film Azhar starring Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri.

While posting the video, Tina simply wrote, “Festive feels.” But the choice of her deeply romantic song for the occasion signifies her deep love for husband Athar, who took to Instagram to wish everyone ‘Happy Diwali.’

While Tina had secured the all India number one ranking in the UPSC exams in 2016, her husband Athar was the holder of the all India number two position the same year. Both fell in love during the training and got married last year. Later, both were posted in the same city, Bhilwara, in Rajasthan.
