Zeishan Quadri, who wrote Anurag Kashyap’s two-part Gangs of Wasseypur series and whose Meeruthiya Gangsters is all set to release next week, will be directing the third part of Gangs of Wasseypur sequel.
Quadri shared a post on Facebook on Tuesday expressing his gratitude towards his ‘mentor’ Anurag Kashyap. He writes, “Gangs of Wassyepur Part – 3 next year. Have already started scripting, will start rolling next year! It is so great when your mentor appreciates your work and encourages you to make it to the next level . Thank you so much Anurag Kashyap sir for this.”

In Anurag Kashyap’s second part of Wasseypur, Quadri had played a character called ‘Definite’ which was highly appreciated at the box office.
Earlier, at the music launch of Meeruthiya Gangsters, his debut project as a director, Quadri added, “Now Anurag is after me to write Wasseypur 3 and told me to direct it. So I’ve given it a thought and have started writing the script for Wasseypur 3.”
Nevertheless, Anurag Kashyap is also editing Quadri’s directorial debut. On this, Quadri reveals, “Vasan Bala, the director of Peddlers saw the film and praised it. That’s when Kashyap agreed to watch the film. And then he decided to sit on the edit and even decided to present the film.”
Meeruthiya Gangsters is releasing on 18 September.
