The newly married couple, Amruta Khanvilkar and Himmanshoo Malhotra won the title of the seventh season of ‘Nach Baliye’, an Indian dance reality show on Sunday night.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms, the show was hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Patel, while choreographer Marzi Pestonji, actress Preity Zinta and writer Chetan Bhagat were the judges of the show.
Reacting on their win, the winning couple said, “Winning matters a lot in our country and it’s often associated with a lot of happiness. We obviously wanted to win and now that we’ve won, we are very happy.”
Amruta and Himanshu had bagged the maximum number of votes. The same couple then went on to bag the title of ‘Nach Baliye’ 7 winners.
Rashmi Desai and Nandish Sandhu bagged the first runners up while controversial pairs from Big Boss really show’s season 8, Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna were second runners-up.
The winners’ prize included a winning trophy, Rs 30 lakh cash and a Honda Jazz car. They also received an additional cash prize of Rs 5 lakh from the sponsors.
A new dance reality show, Dance + will be aired on Star Plus starting July 26.
