Popular TV actress Tinaa Datta has made stunning allegations against her co-star Mohit Malhotra, accusing him of inappropriate touching her during the shooting of TV serial Daayan.

Tina said that Mohit’s behaviour on the sets of Daayan was like a hooligan as he allegedly demanded to touch her inappropriately arguing that his role demanded him to do so. Speaking to entertainment website Spotboye, Tinaa said, “There are some people on set who want to behave as hoooligans. Mohit Malhotra is one such. He had been warned once, but he did not change. In fact, things became worse. I spoke to the Creative Head too.”

She said that her alleged sexual harassment by Mohit had been going on for quite some time. “I went public only after it became so much that I couldn’t take it anymore. Nobody gives excuses like him that ‘woh scene mein bahek gaya tha’. He can’t say he got carried away. He was obviously doing it deliberately,” she said.

Tinaa had earlier told the website that she raised her issues on sexual harassment with the production team and they were very supportive. “I am thrilled to work with Balaji after many years. I leave the issues with them to sort,” she had said.

She also accused Mohit of forcing her to record a video in public claiming that they were friends and there was truth to her allegations. Reacting angrily, Tina said, “Some people are not ashamed to go out and say that we are best friends. Yesterday, he forced me to shoot a video with we two standing together to show that all is well between us, and then circulated the video in the media. Imagine! This is legally and ethically so wrong. He is doing all filthy stuff.”

Meanwhile, Mohit has once again said that Tinaa was his good friend and ‘we share a cordial relationship,’

Premiered in December last year, Daayan is produced by Akta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and comes on &TV. Tinaa’s allegations come just months after India’s own MeToo movement rocked the entertainment industry as many high-profile names were called out for their sexual predatory.
