In Ramadan, Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk for 29 or 30 days depending upon the sighting of the moon. They celebrate Eid, their biggest festival at the end of the fasting month.
Ramadan assumes significance for Muslims since their Holy book Quran was first revealed in this month.
