EXCLUSIVE: 5 occasions since March 2020 when IAS topper Tina Dabi kept dropping hints at her marriage breakdown with Athar Aamir Khan

The news of IAS toppers Tina Dabi and Athar Aamir Khan filing for divorce by mutual consent in a family court in Jaipur has stunned their fans with both civil servants trending on the microblogging site since Friday afternoon. However, Tina had hinted at her marriage breakdown on at least 10 different occasions since March this year as reported by Janta Ka Reporter.

Drops Khan from surname, removes reference to Kashmiri Bahu

On 25 March, Janta Ka Reporter first reported how Tina had removed ‘Khan’ from her surname that she had added soon after getting married to fellow topper Athar Aamir Khan in 2018. The popular civil servant from Delhi had also chosen to remove the reference to being a ‘Kashmiri’ daughter-in-law from her Instagram bio. Tina’s Instagram page, which has little over seven lakh followers, now simply described her as ‘Tina Dabi’ followed by a disclaimer stating that ‘This is a personal account.’

Tina Dabi and Athar Aamir Khan unfollow each other on Instagram

A day after Janta Ka Reporter exclusively reported how Tina Dabi had dropped Khan from her surname and removed the reference to being a Kashmiri bahu, the IAS topper from the 2016 batch also unfollowed her husband on Instagram. Speculations about her relationship status gained momentum on social media after many eagle-eyed users found that Athar had also unfollowed Tina on Instagram. What also left her fans bewildered was the cryptic line added by Tina to her Twitter bio, which are the famous lines penned by poet Majrooh Sultanpuri. It reads, “main akelaa hee chalaa thaa jaanib-e-manzil magar, log saath aate gayee aur kaarvaan bantaa gayaa (I was alone when I set off towards my destination. Many people joined me along the way and it soon turned into a caravan).”

Tina Dabi practices her religion

All through her relationship with her Muslim husband, Tina stayed away from flaunting her Hindu faith. However, she began to publicly display her belief in the Hindu faith soon after she dropped Khan from her surname, removed the reference to Kashmiri bahu and unfollowed her husband on Instagram. She updated her Instagram story in early April to wish her fans on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, which celebrates the birth of the famous Hindu God. While sharing the photo of Hanuman, Tina wrote, “All diseases and pain are eradicated, brave Hanuman, by constant repetition of your name.”

Post wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’ in 2019 disappears from Tina’s Instagram page

Tina Dabi’s 2019 post containing ‘Eid Mubarak’ greetings disappeared from her Instagram page in May this year. While her last year’s Eid greetings video continues to remain on her Twitter timeline, the same video has disappeared from her Instagram page for some unexplained reasons. Last year, Tina Dabi had trended for several days on the internet after her ‘Eid Mubarak’ video evoked considerable reactions from her fans.

Tina Dabi’s photo with Athar Aamir Khan’s nephew also vanishes

Last year, IAS topper Tina Dabi had trended for days because of her adorable Eid greetings video that she posted from Jammu and Kashmir, the native place of her husband Athar Aamir Khan. She had travelled to Kashmir to celebrate Eid with her in-laws. However, that Eid greetings video also mysteriously disappeared from her Instagram page. Also not to be found are her other posts from Kashmir that she shared during her visit to the valley last year.

Aside from posting the Eid greetings video, Tina had also posted a photo of herself with Athar’s nephew with a caption that read, “With cute Azaan.” When a fan asked her who Azaan was, Tina had replied, “Nephew.” But that post too has disappeared from her timeline.

Tina Dabi and Athar Aamir Khan had tied the knot in 2018 when several high-profile politicians including Venkaiah Naidu, Sumitra Mahajan, Ravi Shankar Prasad attended their wedding reception in Delhi. They had received their first posting in the same city of Bhilwara.
