Rekha attends for the first time Rajya Sabha Monsoon Session

Noted actress Rekha on Tuesday attended the proceedings of Rajya Sabha for the first time in the ongoing Monsoon Session.

Wearing a bright yellow saree, Rekha entered the House when the proceedings resumed after the lunch break.

This was the first time during the ongoing Monsoon Session that Rekha, who was nominated to Rajya Sabha in 2012, attended the House.

Soon after she took her designated seat, Congress members T Subbirami Reddy and Chhaya Verma went to her and had a brief chat.

Rekha and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar have earlier faced criticism from their Rajya Sabha colleagues for their poor attendance.

The Bollywood star spent some time in the House which was then discussing a Calling Attention Motion on the appointment of judges in High Courts and the Supreme Court.
