An Ahmedabad-based RTI Activist Association has moved Gujarat High Court with a PIL against Anar Patel in a controversial land allotment deal.
According to ABP Asmita website, the hearing will take place next week.
Earlier this month, it had emerged how Anandiben Patel, had given 250 acres of land to the business partners of her daughter Anar Patel for just Rs 15 per square metre.
Business associates of 45-year-old, Anar Jayesh Patel, got 250 acres of land near Gir lion sanctuary in the state.
A report published in Economic Times on Friday said that Wildwoods Resorts and Realties was allotted 250 acres of land by Gujarat government in 2010-11.
Later documents accessed by jantakareporter.com, revealed how the share value of a company owned by Anar jumped phenomenally around the time her mother became the chief minister of Gujarat.
Anar Patel owned Relish Pharmaceuticals Limited had its share valued at Rs 1 near the time Anandiben Patel became the chief minister of Gujarat in 2014. However, Anandiben Patel’s elevation to the top job in the state saw the share prices of Relish Pharma shoot up to Rs 100+.
